Rev. Kevin W. VanHook, II, who previously served as minister of justice, advocacy and change at the Riverside Church, took up his position at the head of Episcopal Charities on May 10, 2021. An ordained minister of the National Baptist Convention, VanHook brings to Episcopal Charities extensive experience of pastoral leadership with action-oriented, grassroots ministries, having developed and implemented programming with a focus on social justice and its theological roots in his position at Riverside.
